Abstract (Abstrak)

Andi Ratu Namanda. 2024. Social Discriminotion in Steinbek,s The pearl (Supervised by Muhammad Syafri Badaruddin and Abidin pammu) This research aims to determine whether Socral Discrimination in Stefubek,s The Pearl. The primary subject of this study is Lucy Maud Montgomery's life story and how it relates. This descriptive qualitative research uses a biographical approach. The Biographical Approach sees literary works as a reflectiin of the autiror's life and times. Some literary works are inspired by the realities of social life faced by theii authors The tiographical approach.is one of the approaches to analyzing lierary works through their authors. The writer needs to iOenti6, the theme UeOreirawini any conclusions about the rerationship between the autho/s personar life and the work. The literary work and the authods biography provided the research,s data sources.
