Abstract (Abstrak)

Purpose: This review aims to provide an overview of the implementation of the teach-back method in proving education for health workers in hospitals.
Method: This review was prepared based on the guidelines form JBI. Literature search was carried out through the Pubmed database, Proquest, Science Direct, EBSCO, EERIC, ClinicalKey for Nursing, Garuda and Secondary Search.
Result: Number of the article was 44 with the result of the teach-back method were more dominant in patients with chronic disease. In addition, more teach-back methods are provided in the transition state. Meanwhile, the education topic is given depending on the information provided by the patient, the more knowledgeable aspects of knowledge and psychomotor aspects. The implementation of the teach-back (1) Method is given education according to the topic and the tech-back method at the end of the 13 articles’ intervention. In addition, a follow-up with the teach-back method was performed after the patient went home for 4 articles or sought the help of an interpreter. (2) education in accordance with the topic accompanied by an educational strategy approach (watching written DVDs and manuals, videos, mugs, intervention groups, environmental simulations, dual capital education, developing Asthma Patient Identification Tools, computers, social media, IMPACT, multimode, NEAT models, handoff and discharge bundle) and then proceed with the 18 articles teach-back method. While the approach to the strategy of education (coaching, Transition Bundle, program self-management, group, and STAAR) then follow up with methods of teach-back after the patient’s return 7 articles.
