Abstract (Abstrak)

ABSTRACT

Ekautsarman. R011211144. OVERVIEW OF RESILIENCE, STRESS, ANXIETY, AND DEPRESSION LEVEL IN NURSES DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC AT HASANUDDIN UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL, MAKASSAR, supervised by Arnis Puspitha R. and Andina Setyawati.
Background: The occurrence of the Covid-19 pandemic in the world has had a major impact on the emergence of psychological effects on nurses who work as a Covid-19 team at the Unhas Hospital. Hospital facilities related to prevention of transmission, comorbid disease, and the presence of vulnerable families at home add to the psychological burden for nurses who work as the Covid-19 team. For this reason, it is necessary to measure the resilience, stress levels, anxiety, and depression of nurses. So, that nurses who need counseling and assistance can be facilitated. Research Purposes: To describe resilience, levels of stress, anxiety, and depression in the Covid-19 team nurses at Hasanuddin University Hospital. Methods: This research is a quantitative descriptive research with a cross sectional design. The estimated sample in this study amounted to 80 people who were drawn using purposive sampling and with Isac and Michael formula. But, only 68 were included as respondents. The primary data collection technique used a self-rating questionnaire consisting of 2 instruments, namely BRS (Brief Resilience Scales) and DASS-42 (Depression Anxiety Stress scales-42). Results: The results of this study showed that three-quarters (75%) of the respondents had normal resilience. For stress levels, 92.6% of respondents have normal stress levels, then 69.1% have normal levels of anxiety, and 89.7% of respondents have normal levels of depression. Conclusions and Suggestions: It is concluded that most of the respondents already have good resilience. Likewise with the level of stress, anxiety, and depression, from each of these variables more than half of the respondents no longer have these psychological problems. Although there are some respondents who still have stress, anxiety, and depression. Therefore, it is recommended that hospitals that provide services for Covid-19 patients should be able to pay attention to health workers at work, especially in terms of security facilities, the flow of Covid-19 patients, as well as counseling for health workers who need it.
