This thesis discusses the problem of using Picture Media in understanding Arabic vocabulary for students at the Ittihadul Usrati wal-Jama'ah Islamic Boarding School in Lerang-Lerang Pinrang. The aim of this studyTo describe understanding Arabic vocabulary using picture media for students at the Ittihadul 'Usrati Wal-Jamaah DDI Lerang-lerang Islamic boarding school and analyze the use of image media and improve students' understanding of Arabic vocabulary at the Ittihadul 'Usrati Wal-Jamaah DDI Lerang-lerang Islamic boarding school .
The method used in this research is a classroom action research method, in this case the researcher is directly involved in the application of learning media. There are several data collection methods used, starting from the observation method, pre-test before the application of learning media, post-test after the application of the media, and interview methods. This study uses a quantitative approach with statistical analysis methods and paired sample T test analysis contained in the SPSS program.
The results of this study indicate that the use of picture media during 6 meetings can improve students' understanding of Arabic vocabulary. This can be seen from the results of the percentage increase in the value of correct answers and the percentage decrease in the value of wrong answers after using image media. The percentage value of correct answers before using image media was 26.5769 while the percentage value of correct answers after using image media was 63.2308, this indicates that there is an increase and understanding of image media.
