Abstract (Abstrak)
ABSTRACT Nur Ina Yuliana, E061211111, "The Role of Coffee As An Instrument of Indonesian Gastrodiplomacy in Egypy" under the guidance of Ishaq Rahman S.IP, M.Si at the Department of International Relations, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Hasanuddin University. This study aims to find out the role of coffee as a tool of Indonesian gastrodiplomacy in Egypt and to find out the challenges faced in the application of Indonesian coffee gastrodiplomacy in Egypt. The research method in the preparation of this thesis uses a descriptive-analytical research type, namely research by describing the situation in the form of facts that are still relevant to the argument or opinion so that it can be described with an analysis that leads to a conclusion. The data collection technique used by the author is to use the Literature study method by exploring and reviewing various literature such as books, journal articles, newspapers, youtube channels, social media related to the research theme, and primary documents from both the Indonesian government and the Egyptian government obtained through electronic and non-electronic media. In addition, this study also uses an interview method conducted with related parties. In this study, all data were analyzed qualitatively and for the discussion of problems using deductive patterns. The results of this study show that the role of coffee as a tool of Indonesian gastrodiplomacy in Egypt has a significant impact on the Indonesian nation. Coffee as a tool of gastrodiplomacy plays a dual role, not only in the economic sector, but in various sectors such as politics, social and culture. This gives an idea that coffee as a tool of Indonesian diplomacy can improve the Indonesian economy, especially coffee exports, maintain and strengthen bilateral relations, and function as a medium for promoting Indonesia's socio-cultural diversity among the Egyptian people. But apart from that, there are several challenges that will be faced such as the map of coffee market competition in Egypt, the consistency of promotion, and the disruption of the world geopolitical situation.
