Abstract (Abstrak)

ABSTRACT
SUSANTY. Determinants of Neonatal Mortality in Hospital Mamuju
(supervised by Buraerah Abd. Hakim and M. Arif Tiro)
Neonatal mortality is one indicator of the success of health care and
health development program. Due to public health can be Measured in
terms of the indicators used include mortality, morbidity and nutritional
status.
This study aims to analyze the determinant factors megidentifikasi
and neonatal mortality in hospitals Mamuju (aid delivery, delivery
Complications, use of postnatal care, immunization, maternal medical
history)

The study design was a case-control study in the neonatal unit of
observation is the baby who died as a case group of 68 people were
selected overall and infant who lived during the neonatal period as a
control group of 68 people were selected at random. Data analysis was
performed using univariate, bivariate, the Odds Ratio test and multivariate
analysis using multiple logistic regression.
Bivariate analysis results indicate that the quality of aid delivery that
does not either have a 8.65 times Likely to experience neonatal death (p
=<0.001, 95% CI: 4,311 to 20,290), birth Complications that accompany
pregnancy childbirth Likely has experienced the death of neonatal 30.25
times (p=<0.001, 95% CI:7,489-52, 377), incomplete utilization of neonatal
care has 5.95 times the likelihood of neonatal death (p=<0.001; 95% CI:
2.080-10 787), Immunization is not Likely 0.412 has experienced a
complete neonatal mortality (p=<0.001, 95% CI: 0.332-0.510), a history of
maternal illness that accompanies had 13.14 times the likelihood of
neonatal death (p = 0.002, 95% CI: 1.669-106 262 ). On multivariate
analysis, the risk of Complications of childbirth is the most dominant factor
affecting neonatal mortality (p<0.001;Wald=25.279)
