Abstract (Abstrak)

NURUL HAQ MUKADDIM (G411 14 314). “Analysis of Basic Costs and Analysis of The Use of Gasoline and LPG (Liquefied Petroleum Gas) Fuels in Water Pump Engines”. Supervised by : IQBAL and MUHAMMAD TAHIR SAPSAL
The use of water pumps in agricultural irrigation generally uses gasoline-fueled propulsion. This certanly provides additional costs to farmers, therefore farmers need to have alternative options that can be used as fuel for water pumps, and one of the fuel alternative is LPG. This study aims to determine the basic cost of consumption and use of LPG and Gasoline as fuel in water pump machines. This research conducted by calculating the basic costs that consisting of fixed costs and variable costs as well as the efficiency of water pumps using gasoline and LPG. The results of the research show that the fixed costs are Rp.703,640/year, while the variable costs based on the use of agricultural tools and machinery, is Rp. 4,719,504/year. The amount of gasoline fuel used by the water pump is 0.55 liters/hour and the water discharge is 28.305 m3/hour. The cost incurred for using a pump with gasoline is Rp. 5,500/hour. While the use of pumps with LPG is 0.2 kg/hour and the costs incurred from the fuel are Rp. 1.333/hour. The water discharge from this usage is 29.892 m3/hour. Based on these data, the use of LPG as fuel is more efficient than gasoline and released more water discharge.
