Abstract (Abstrak)

ABSTRAK Hendrawan Rahmat Wijaya, Nomor Induk Mahasiswa F061181318, dengan judul “Daily Politics Tahanan Politik PKI Dalam Kamp Pengasingan Moncongloe, Sulawesi Selatan (1969-1977)” dibimbing oleh Drs. Dias Pradadimara, M.A., M.S dan Nasihin, M.A. Dias Pradadimara, M.A., M.S and Nasihin, M.A. This research was prepared using historical methods. In addition to written sources, to balance government archives, the author conducted oral interviews with survivors of the history of 1965. Collective memories regarding the lives of political prisoners while documenting in the Moncongloe Krem camp will be useful for reconstructing the history of "everyday political prisoners in the Moncongloe Internment Camp.‖ To preserve these memories is to write them down, because writing will live on even if thoughts and words die. In particular, this research explores the daily politics (Daily Politics) of PKI political prisoners who were exiled and enslaved in the Moncongloe Exile Camp, South Sulawesi in 1969 – 1977. The life of political prisoners in the Moncongloe Exile Camp is filled with mandatory work activities. This research aims to provide an in-depth understanding of the political life of political prisoners in the Moncongloe Exile Camp, along with how they overcome the conditions of isolation and what happens to them. The results of the research show that despite being in a very stressful situation and under close supervision, the PKI political prisoners developed various forms of personal and collective strategies to survive. They tried to maintain their identity, through covert solidarity resistance which was often not recorded in the dominant historical narrative of the New Order regarding the political political scene in Indonesia.
