Abstract (Abstrak)
Iman Arifin. Pengaruh Kepemimpinan Dan Kompetensi Terhadap Kinerja Pegawai Melalui Motivasi Kerja Pada Kantor Dinas Pariwisata Kota Makassar ( dibimbing oleh Nurdin Brasit dan Fauziah Umar)
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis (1) Pengaruh Kepemimpinan dan kompetensi terhadap motivasi kerja pegawai, (2) Pengaruh Kepemimpinan, kompetensi dan motivasi kerja terhadap kinerja pegawai, (3) Pengaruh Kepemimpinan dan kompetensi yang dimediasi motivasi kerja terhadapkinerja pegawai,. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada Kantor Dinas Pariwisata Kota Makassar. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Kuantitatif. Populasi dan sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 98 responden. Metode pemgumplan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner yang berisi pernyataan-pernyataan. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis jalur dan uji sobel untuk mengetahui pengaruh tidak lansung variabel intervening.
Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) kepemimpinan dan kompetensi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi kerja, (2) kepemimpinan, kompetensi dan motivasi kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai, (3) kepeminpinan dan kompetensi memiliki pengaruh secara tidak langsung terhadap kinerja pegawai melalui motivasi kerja .

ABSTRACT
Iman Arifin.The Influence of Leadership and Competency on Employee Performance Through Work Motivation at the Makassar City Tourism Office (supervised by Nurdin Brasit and Fauziah Umar)
This research aims to analyze (1) the influence of leadership and competence on employee work motivation, (2) the influence of leadership, competence and work motivation on employee performance, (3) the influence of leadership and competence mediated by work motivation on employee performance. This research was conducted at the Makassar City Tourism Office. This study uses a quantitative approach. The population and sample in this study amounted to 98 respondents. The data collection method in this research uses a questionnaire containing statements. The data analysis method used is path analysis and Sobel test to determine the indirect influence of intervening variables.
The results of this research show that (1) leadership and competence have a positive and significant effect on work motivation, (2) leadership, competence and work motivation have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, (3) leadership and competence have an indirect effect on employee performance through work motivation.
