Nephrin is a transmembrane protein with a molecular weight of 180 kDa, located on the lateral surface of the podocyte FP, and is a significant component of the diaphragm gap. It can be found in pregnant women without preeclampsia and its increase in pregnant women with preeclampsia. The Increased level of nephrin in urine is referred to as nephrinuria.
Analytical observation with a cross-sectional approach was conducted at Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo, Siti Fatimah, Pertiwi, Bhayangkara, and Siti Khadijah 1 Hospital. Observation period from 1 October 2018 – 30 April 2019.
The total samples of this study were 90 people, in which 44 samples met the inclusion criteria and 46 control samples. There was no differentiation of nephrin level in urine between severe preeclampsia and the control group (p =0,375), while systole BP, Diastole BP, and protein urine have a significant result (p=0,000).
Nephrinuria is not associated with severe preeclampsia.
