ALFIA NURANI UMAR. PEER ASSISTED LEARNING DAN DEMONSTRASI TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN ANTENATAL CARE MELALUI PRAKTIK LABORATORIUM PADA MAHASISWA DIPLOMA III KEBIDANAN (dibimbing oleh Werna Nontji dan Andi Ariyandy)
Latar Belakang: Bidan merupakan tenaga kesehatan yang berperan dalam pelayanan kesehatan ibu dan anak dituntut memiliki kompetensi tinggi sehingga dapat menjalankan fungsinya dengan baik. Masih banyaknya lulusan kebidan yang tidak lulus dalam firstaker ujian kompetensi dapat berpengaruh pada kinerja lulusan bidan ketika dalam memberikan pelayanan. Penyelenggaraan pendidikan kebidanan merupakan salah satu faktor penting penyebab terjadinya hal tersebut, karena pada tahap inilah proses membentuk kompetensi dan kepercayaan diri bidan. Untuk mencapai kompetensi bagi mahasiswa kebidanan perlu memiliki pengalaman belajar teori maupun praktik langsung dilaboratorium klinik. Pembelajaran pada praktik laboratorium dapat memberi kesempatan kepada mahasiswa untuk melatih keterampilan hingga terampil dengan menggunakan berbagai metode pembelajaran. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melilhat dampak Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) dan demonstrasi terhadap peningkatan keterampilan Antenatal Care (ANC) melalui praktik laboratorium pada mahasiswa Diploma III Kebidanan. Metode: desain penelitian quasy eksperimental pre-test and post-test with control group desai. Kelompok eksperimen yang menerima metode pembelajaran PAL dan demonstrasi, sementara kelompok kontrol menerima pembelajaran konvensional. Instrumen penelitian melibatkan penilaian kuisioner dan daftar tilik (check list) untuk mengetahui keterampilan ANC. Hasil: Penelitian ini menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan antara hasil sebelum dan sesudah pada kelompok intervensi yakni nilai sig 0,000 < α 0,05 sehingga adanya peningkatan keterampilan ANC seesudah diberikan metode pembelajaran dan perbedaan hasil kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol yakni nilai sig 0,000 < α 0,05 yang menegaskan dampak positif PAL dan demonstrasi terhadap peningkatan keterampilan ANC

Background: Midwives are health workers who play a role in maternal and child health services are required to have high competence so that they can carry out their functions properly. The number of midwifery graduates who do not pass the first competency exam can affect the performance of midwife graduates when providing services. The implementation of midwifery education is one of the important factors causing this to happen, because at this stage the process of shaping the competence and confidence of midwives. To achieve competence for midwifery students, it is necessary to have theoretical and practical learning experiences directly in the clinical laboratory. Learning in laboratory practice can provide opportunities for students to practice skills to be skilled by using various learning methods. Objective: This study aims to see the impact of Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) and demonstration on improving Antenatal Care (ANC) skills through laboratory practice in Diploma III Midwifery students. Method: Quasy experimental research design pre-test and post-test with control group design. The experimental group received PAL and demonstration learning methods, while the control group received conventional learning. The research instruments involved questionnaire and checklist assessments to determine ANC skills.Results: This study showed a significant difference between the before and after results in the intervention group, with a sig value of 0.000 < α 0.05, indicating an improvement in ANC skills after being given the learning method, and a difference between the results of the intervention group and the control group, with a sig value of 0.000 < α 0.05, confirming the positive impact of PAL and demonstration on improving ANC skills.
