ABSTRACT SARIATUN TAWAINELLA.The Effect of Peer Education Method on the Adolescents' Knowledge of Dental and Oral Health in Tulehu Village, Salahutu District (supervised by Ayub Irmadani Anwar and Fuad Husain Akbar) In an effort to prevent dental caries in children and adolescents, it is important to raise awareness about oral health, hygiene, and maintenance.Peer education for adolescents is considered adequate because adolescents tend to have closer relationships and use the same language. This study aims to see the effect of peer education on the knowledge of dental and oral health in adolescent children in Tulehu Village,Salahutu District. This research used a quasi-experimental study with one group time series design. The sample consisting of 119 samples was determined using quota sampling technique. The data were analyzed using Wilxocon test. The results show that there were differences before and after being given education by peer educators on adolescents' knowledge in Tulehu Village, Salahutu District (P=0.000). In conclusion, there is an effect of peer education method on adolescents' knowledge of dental and oral health in Tulehu Village,Salahutu District.
