HUBUNGAN UMUR DAN LAMA KERJA TERHADAP TINGKAT KETULIAN KARYAWAN PABRIK GULA TAKALAR TAHUN 2018

Introduction : One of the causes of Sensory Neural Hearing Loss (SNHL) is Niose�Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL), which is caused by countinous noise or high noise
intensity that usually found in the working environment, such as machine or vehicle.
The objective of this study was to determine the correlation between age and work
long-time with the deafness level of Takalar Sugar Factory’s employees in 2018
Method : The research type is analytical survey wwith a cross-sectional approach.
Implemented in THT-KL Department of Medical Faculty, Hasanuddin University for
2 month with total sampling from the result of the Takalar Sugar Factory’s Emplyees
hearing checkup. Furthermore, age, work long-time, and level of deafness of the
employees were analyzed using spearmann’s test to determine the correlation with a
confidence level of 95%.
Result : Of the 20 employees based on the inclusion and exclution criterias there
were 13 employees (65%) with mild deafness and 5 employees (25%) with moderate
deafness. Result of the correlation analysis between age and deafness level
significance value is 0.711. And result of correlation analysis between work long�time and deafness level significance value is 0.469.
Conclusion : There is no significant correlation between age and work long-time
with deafness level of the Takalar Sugar Factory’s Employees in 2018.
