ABSTRACT
ANDI YUNITA NURANGRRENI. The effect of training and work motivation on employee performance through job satisfaction at PT.Taspen (Persero) KCU Makassar (Supervised by Muh. Idrus Taba and Nurdjanah Hamid)
PT. Taspen (Persero) Makassar KCU which is a State-Owned Enterprise engaged in insurance for old age savings and pension funds for Civil Servants. PT. Taspen (Persero) prioritizes employees who work professionally and with integrity but employees have various characteristics at work such as organizational demands to serve participant data quickly and accurately, so employees need training and motivation that comes from the organization and individual employees. This study aims to analyze (1) the effect of training on employee job satisfaction, (2) influence of work motivation on employee job satisfaction, (3) the effect of training on employee performance, (4) influence of work motivation on employee performance, (5) the effect of job satisfaction on employee performance, (6) the effect of training on employee performance through job satisfaction, (7) influence of work motivation on employee performance through job satisfaction. This study uses a quantitative approach. The population of this study were all employees of PT.Taspen (Persero) KCU Makassar as many as on as 42 responds. Sampling used saturated samples which means the number of samples used all members of the the population. The data collecting technique used was through a questionnaire. The data analysis techniques used was path analysis. The results of this study indicate that (1) training has a direct, positive, and significant effect on employee job satisfaction; (2) work motivation has a direct, positive, and significant effect on employee job satisfaction; (3) training has a direct, positive, and significant effect on employee performance; (4) work motivation has no significant effect on employee performance; (5) Job satisfaction has a direct, positive, and significant effect on employee performance; (6) training has an indirect effect on performance through employee job satisfaction; (7) work motivation has an indirect effect on performance through employee job satisfaction. From the results of the study, it can be concluded that the better the training and work motivation, the better job satisfaction and employee performance.
