Abstract (Abstrak)

This study aimed to 1) analyze the relationship of soil property parameters to the soil quality field, 2) analyzing the quality of paddy fields based on the function of the soil, and 3) analysis and clustering, and microbial abundance and diversity in rice fields in natural farming systems using a metagenomic technique. Data analysis with statistical analysis using the JAPS 014.6 application (open source). The soil quality index was calculated based on the modified criteria of Mausbach and Seybold (1998), with slightly modified criteria of Hadija (2022). Analysis of abundance and diversity of soil microbes using metagenomic techniques. The results of this study showed that five main component variables, namelyPC1 (25.2%), PC2 (43.4%), PC3 (56.5%), PC4 (66.9%), and PC5 (76.1%), explained the total variance of 53.62%. These five main components are the factors that affect the quality of paddy fields in the study area. Rice fields in years 0 (0.60), 2 (0.61), 4 (0.65), and 6 (0.65) showed good soil quality based on the weighting results of the three soil functions. The decline in soil quality was established in the 8th year (0.51) after the application of compost for the last eight years, with moderate criteria. In this study, the composting management system affected the number of paddy fields and diversity of soil microbes. Based on the number of bacterial features detected, 1567 bacterial sequence features were found only in conventional agricultural systems, and 2337 others were found in systems agriculture. Based on the number of Fungal Features available, 478 fungal sequence features were found only in agricultural systems and 632 were found in natural farming systems. Land management affects the number and diversity of paddy soil microbes.
