Abstract (Abstrak)
Platelets, neutrophils, and lymphocytes are the central players in the pathophysiology of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) and Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). Risk stratification to determine patients needing more meticulous observation is important due to the critical nature of the two entities. This research aims to learn the role of plateletcrit, and novel parameters plateletcrit:neutrophil ratio and plateletcrit:lymphocyte ratio as a predictor of in-hospital mortality in patients ACS with COVID-19 confirmed status. Fifty four patients hospitalized in April 2020-February 2022 with ACS and COVID-19 were enrolled. Mortality rate in this study was 20.4%. Plateletcrit and neutrophil count is higher in non-survivors, while lymphocyte count was lower. Plateletcrit, plateletcrit:neutrophil ratio, and plateletcrit:lymphocyte ratio is a potential in-hospital mortality predictor for patients with ACS and COVID-19. Plateletcrit lymphocyte ratio with cut-off 0.915 is a better predictor compared to plateletcrit alone ((AUC 0.915,p <0,001 vs AUC 0.888, p<0,001) with sensitivity of 81.8%, specificity 81.2%, and hazard ratio 7.192.
