Abstract (Abstrak)

Stevie Christianto, L22116317. Effect of Vitomolt Plus as a Feed Additive on the intestinal histological appearance of Tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). Under the guidance of Yushinta Fujaya as Main Advisor and Dwi Kesuma Sari as Member Advisor.
One of the important elements in aquaculture that supports the growth and survival of cultured fish is feed (Arief et al, 2014). The feed only has a protein content of about 26-30%. The method that can be used to improve feed quality is by giving feed additives to fish feed. Feed additive is an ingredient that is added to the feed in relatively small amounts for a specific purpose. This study aims to determine the effect of vitomolt on the absorption of fish nutrients by looking at the intestinal histology of tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus). This research was carried out in July – September 2020. Tilapia rearing was carried out at the Hatchery of the FIKP Fish Hatchery Laboratory, Hasanuddin University, for 1 month. Histology was made at the Education Veterinary Pathology Laboratory, Hasanuddin University. This study was designed with a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications, the treatment dose consisted of doses of 0 ppm, 1000 ppm, 3000 ppm, 5000 ppm of Vitomolt Plus, the results of this study showed that the addition of vitomolt plus to the feed had an effect on the appearance of intestinal histology tilapia fish. The doses of 1000 ppm and 3000 ppm of vitomolt plus showed the best results in increasing the length of the villi, the distance between the villi, the number of villi, the number of goblet cells, and the number of lymphocyte cells. However, the three doses of vitomolt plus that were tried (1000, 3000, and 5000 ppm) gave the same effect on the thickness of the intestinal muscle of tilapia. digestion of tilapia.
