Abstract (Abstrak)

YULIANA. 2020 "The Effectiveness of the Use of Visual Media (Graphics) in Mastery of Arabic Language Vocabulary for Students of the IMMIM Putri Pangkep Islamic Boarding School". Supervised by supervisor I Zuhriah, S.S, M.Hum and supervisor II Dr. Andi Agussalim, S.S, M.Hum.

This thesis discusses the problem of using Visual Media (Graphics) in the mastery of Arabic vocabulary for students at the IMMIM Putri Pangkep Islamic Boarding School. This study aims to explain the media used by teachers in learning Arabic, describe how to use visual learning media (graphics), and analyze the effectiveness of the use of visual (graphic) learning media in class VII.A students of IMMIM Putri Islamic Boarding School, Pangkajene Regency and the Islands.

The method used in this research is classroom action research, in which the researcher is directly involved in the application of learning media. There are several data collection methods used, starting from the observation method, pre-test before the application of learning media, post-test after the application of visual media (graphics), and interview methods. This study used a quantitative approach with statistical analysis methods and paired sample T test analysis contained in the SPSS program.

The results of this study indicate that there is an increase in the use of visual learning media (graphics) in the mastery of Arabic vocabulary in class VII A students. The application of visual media (graphic) learning media is carried out by dividing students into three groups, each group collecting five vocabularies. boarding school environment. Then the researcher instructed the students to memorize the vocabulary by looking at the pictures provided by the researcher, and there were also exercises in several meetings during the learning process. By memorizing and viewing pictures, the use of visual media (graphics) shows that class VII.A of the IMMIM Putri Pangkep Islamic Boarding School has increased mastery of Arabic vocabulary based on the results of the T test.
