Abstract (Abstrak)

The components in human capital have a role in creating the human assets needed by a hospital to determine the hospital's value. The human capital component will have different effects and contributions on the performance of employees in their workplace, which in turn will have an impact on the quality of services provided. This study aims to analyze the effect of the human capital component on the performance of nurses in the Haji Hospital, Province of South Sulawesi.

This type of research is quantitative using an observational study with a cross-sectional study design. The sample of this research is nurses who work in Haji Hospital as many as 275 nurses.

The results of this study indicate that there is a statistically significant effect of individual capability, leadership, the organizational climate, and workgroup effectiveness on the performance of nurses at Haji Hospital, in contrast to individual motivation which does not have a statistically significant effect on the performance of nurses at Haji Hospital. It is suggested to the hospital management to increase individual motivation through public service motivation by the head nurse of the room to develop relationships between nurses, build effective communication, self-actualization needs should be maintained, and involve nurses in decision making and action as a symbol of appreciation to nurses at the hospital.
