Abstract (Abstrak)
Background: This systematic review aimed to examine the effectiveness of low-salt dietary interventions to lower Blood Pressure (BP) on hypertensive patients living in rural areas. Methods: We conducted the literature searching in several databases to identify relevant articles published from 2010 to 2020 using PRISMA, exclusion and inclusion criteria. Six studies included in the systematic review. Result: The intervention model used salt substitutes in all foods and preservation without changing dietary habits and lifestyle and without reducing the amount of salt consumed. The outcome variable for BP was the primary variable.
