Abstract (Abstrak)

The purpose of this study is to analyze the optimal production rate and efforts to utilize Kite Fish in the Waters of Bone Bay. This research was held from July to September 2021. The method used in this study is the survey method. The sampling method used is purposive sampling method with the number of kite fish catching business with seine purse fishing equipment in Bone 9 units, Palopo City 12 units and Sinjai Regency 10 units.
Data analysis used is standardizing fishing gear, estimating biological parameters, economic parameters, estimating dynamic bi-oeconomic parameters and creating bioeconomic analysis charts of Layang fish. The results showed that generally the utilization rate of Kite Fish in using kite fishing tools has a fluctuating value. The actual condition of fishing efforts for kite fish utilization in the waters of Bone Bay has not exceeded the management regime with a value of 62,506.41 units while the maximum sustainable potential sustainable yield is recommended at 40,414.68 units/year. Kite Fishing business conditions are quite favorable with an average receipt of Rp. 2,20,158,000 per year. The condition of Kite Fish resources in the Waters of Bone Bay with the utilization of Kite Fish resources in the Waters of Bone Bay has not been indicated to be biologically overfishing and economically has not experienced overfishing.
