Abstract (Abstrak)

MOH. AZHAR SHAUQY. Utilization of Renewable Energy Based on Supply Chain in the Development of the Jeneponto Regency Inland Port, South Sulawesi (Supervised by A. Erwin Eka Putra, Nasruddin Azis, and Daeng Paroka). The development of a Dry Port in Jeneponto Regency, South Sulawesi, plays a strategic role in strengthening logistics connectivity and supporting economic growth in eastern Indonesia. However, the high energy demand of this infrastructure may increase dependence on fossil fuels and carbon emissions, making the adoption of renewable energy essential. This study aims to analyze the potential of green energy utilization within the supply chain framework to support the sustainable operation of Jeneponto Dry Port. The research employed both qualitative and quantitative descriptive approaches through field surveys, stakeholder interviews, literature review, and SWOT modeling. Energy consumption data were assessed across supply chain nodes, including cargo handling, storage, distribution, and supporting facilities. Benchmarking with other Dry Ports was also used for comparison. The findings indicate that Jeneponto Dry Port’s annual energy demand is estimated at around 5.17 GWh, which can be supplied by local renewable energy potentials, particularly wind and solar. The proposed energy transition scenarios include equipment electrification, the deployment of solar panels, integration of microgrids with wind power plants, and IoT-based energy management systems. SWOT analysis positioned the strategy in the aggressive quadrant, suggesting that leveraging local strengths and investment opportunities is the most effective pathway to accelerate renewable energy adoption. In conclusion, the integration of green energy within the supply chain not only enhances operational efficiency and reduces greenhouse gas emissions but also strengthens regional energy resilience. Jeneponto Dry Port has the potential to become a model of a green dry port in eastern Indonesia, while simultaneously contributing to the national energy transition agenda towards the net-zero emission target.
