Background: The growth of digital communication has contributed to the increasing prevalence of love scams, a form of cybercrime that causes not only financial loss but also serious violations of victims privacy and dignity. Objectives: This thesis examines the protection of privacy rights of love scam victims from an international legal perspective, with particular emphasis on the role of Indonesian Interpol. Method: The research is grounded in Article 17 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) and Articles 3, 8, and 12 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR). Using normative-empirical legal research methods with statutory and conceptual approaches, this study finds that love scams constitute violations of fundamental human rights and that states have an obligation to provide effective legal protection and remedies. Results: The study further analyzes Interpol’s efforts in cross-border law enforcement and victim protection, emphasizing the importance of safeguarding victim privacy to prevent secondary victimization. Conclusion: This research concludes that effective privacy protection for love scam victims requires integrated international cooperation, human rights based law enforcement, and strengthened victim-centered mechanisms.
