HUBUNGAN MANUSIA-ALAM: ANALISIS INTERAKSI KARAKTER-LINGKUNGAN DALAM THE SECRET GARDEN KARYA FRANCES HODGSON BURNET = HUMAN-NATURE RELATIONSHIP: ANALYSIS OF CHARACTER-ENVIRONTMENT INTERACTION IN THE SECRET GARDEN BY FRANCES HODGSON BURNET

This study explores the relationship between humans and nature in The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett through the lens of ecocriticism. Employing a qualitative research method, the analysis focuses on how the characters interact with their environment and how the narrative reflects the bond between humans and nature. The findings reveal that the characters engage with both indoor and outdoor spaces in ways that influence their emotional and physical development. Furthermore, Burnett portrays nature as a source of healing, emotional strength, moral guidance, and ecological awareness. The study concludes that The Secret Garden presents a meaningful human-nature relationship, conveyed through direct and transformative interactions between the characters and their surroundings.
