Penerapan Teori Sistem Bioekologi oleh Urie Bronfenbrenner pada Anak dalam Novel Anne of Green Gables karya Lucy Maud Montgomery = The Application of Urie Bronfenbrenner’s Bioecological System Theory on Children in Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery

ABSTR ACT Fitri Ratu Bulqis. The Application of Urie Bronfenbrenner’s Bioecological System Theory on Children in Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery (Supervised by Burhanuddin and Herawaty). The Bioecological Systems Theory by Urie Bronfenbrenner is a theory used to find out how the living environment can affect a person's growth and development so that this theory can be used to analyze the development of Anne Shirley's character in the novel Anne of Green Gables by Lucy Maud Montgomery before and after living in Avonlea. Therefore, this study aims to find out how the application of the Bioecological Systems theory by Urie Bronfenbrenner in the novel Anne of Green Gables and how the Bioecological System can affect Anne Shirley's character. The method used is a qualitative method using a literature study to apply the Bioecological Systems theory by Urie Bronfenbrenner, namely PPCT or Process–Person–Context–Time to Anne Shirley as the main character in Anne of Green Gables. Thus, this study shows that Anne's character changes are influenced by Process–Person–Context–Time or daily interactions, her personality, social environment, and life changes that occur over time as evidenced by Anne's character changes from being previously lacking in self-confidence, careless, and not knowing religion to finally being able to grow into a good child and an exemplary and high-achieving student due to her supportive living environment, so it can be concluded that over time, the living environment and the people around her can influence the formation of a person's character.
