Abstract (Abstrak)
ISMAWATI. Relationship between Parkinson Clinical Degree and
Cognitive Impairment on Parkinson Patients by Using Montreal
Cognitive Assesment of Indonesian Version (MoCA-Ina). (supervised by
Abdul Muis and Muhammad Akbar).
The research aimed at investigating the relationship between
Parkinson clinical degree and cognitive impairment by Using Montreal
Cognitive Assesment of Indonesian Version (MoCA-Ina).
The research used the cross-sectional study design on subjects of
the Parkinson patients in the Neurological Policlinics of Wahidin
Sudrohusodo Hospital and its network in Makassar from January to May
2013. On the research subjects, the cognitive function examination was
carried out using the instrument of MoCA-Ina test.
The research result indicates that the males are more than females
who suffer from the Parkinson disease (67,6% vs 32,4%). There is no
significant difference of relationship between the cognitive impairment
and several risk factors, among others are, sex, are group,
hypertension, Diabetes Mellitus, dyslipidemia, disease duration, and
depression. By the chi-square test, there is the significant relationship
between the Parkinson clinical degree and the cognitive impairment,
with the value of p 0,003. The cognitive elements which are mostly
affected are the executive function and attention. The research indicates
that the more severe the Parkinson disease clinical degree, the greater
the cognitive impairment.
