Abstract (Abstrak)

ABSTRACT
Measurements have been performed on the output radiation and the
determination of the HVL of the X-ray plane at the Hospital General Purpose
Majene. Measurement and determination of the HVL is intended to test the
feasibility of the plane X-rays are used to produce medical image, where the HVL
value itself affects the quality of radiation are also member this course will use
the Pen Dosimeters tool and Filter Aluminium with thickness varying according
to the use of tube voltage (kV) are different for each measurement.
HVL values obtained by calculations carried out, and then compared with the
standard value of HVL in accordance with the recommendations Radiation
Safety Act 1975, Diagnostic X-ray Equipment Compliance Test 2000 issued by
the Government of Western Australia. HVL value for 70 kV tube voltage
generated is 3.2 mmAl, HVL value for a tube voltage of 80 kV resulting value is
3.4 mmAl, and HVL value for tube voltage of 90 kV for the resulting value is
3.8 mmAl.
These results indicate that the value of HVL of radiation qualities of X-ray tubes
in hospitals Majene General Purpose qualify the feasibility of using X-ray
machine because it is still within the limits of standard HVL value.
