ABSTRACT
AZWAR, Community-Based Management of the Marine Resources Of Taka Bonerate National Park in Selayar Agency (supervised by Yusran Nur Indar dan Mansur Radjab).
The study aims to investigate the problems in the marine resources management of the National Park of Taka Bonerate and the management types performance by both the local and the visiting fishermen.
The study is conducted in the National Park area of Taka Bonerate particularly in Rajuni Island. The island is located in the middle of the national park. The methods used to collect data needed for the study are interviews, observations, and documents examinations. The data are analyzed and qualitatively.
He result indicates that the marine resources management is crucial and needs more serious attention from various stakeholders : government, NGOs, and local community-based management of the marine resource will have social and economic impacts on the people and some consequences on the environment.
