Abstract (Abstrak)

ABSTRACT
The island of Lombok is one of the islands in Indonesia prone to the earthquakes because the location of this island is very close to the Indo-Australian and
Eurasian Plate subduction zones. There were about 2 large earthquakes have occurred in the last few years, a 6.1- magnitude earthquake on January 1, 2000 and a 5.4- magnitude earthquake on June 22, 2013. This study was intended to identify fault causes of earthquakes by using the Three Component Waveform Inversion method in Lombok Island region within July to August 2018. The earthquake data used was earthquake data which included waveform, time, coordinates, depth, and earthquake magnitude. The use of seismogram analysis by using three components waveform was carried out to obtain the moment tensor.
Then by using the ISOLA software, the results of curve fitting and beachball were obtained as a representation of the type of fault. The results of the study showed
that the fault pattern which caused the earthquake in Lombok Island within July to August 2018 was dominated by oblique reverse fault which was influenced by the
Flores Fault. This result is expected to be a reference material for disaster mitigation.
