A fracture is defined as a disruption in the continuity of a bone, generally caused by trauma or damage to hard tissues or organs. Fractures in small animals, including cats, represent an orthopedic problem with a relatively high incidence in veterinary practice. A five-year-old female cat named Nona, weighing 2 kg, was presented to the Veterinary Teaching Hospital of Hasanuddin University with a fracture of the ilium. Physical examination revealed a body temperature of 38.8°C, a pulse rate of 120 beats per minute, and a respiratory rate of 36 breaths per minute. Hematological examination showed abnormal blood parameters, while radiographic examination confirmed the presence of a fracture in the ilium. The patient was diagnosed with an iliac fracture. Surgical management of the iliac fracture was performed using a 1.4 mm Kirschner wire (K-wire) fixation followed by suturing of the surrounding musculature. The surgical procedure consisted of preoperative preparation, recognition, reduction, retention, and rehabilitation. Postoperative therapy included topical wound ointment, antibiotics, anti-inflammatory drugs, and supportive supplements to promote recovery. Keywords: Fracture, Ilium, Cat, K-wire
