STUDI FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI KINERJA DOKTER DALAM KELENGKAPAN PENGISIAN REKAM MEDIS DI RS HAPSAH KABUPATEN BONE

Backgrounds. Completeness in medical records is crucial for healthcare quality, patient safety, administrative efficiency, and legal protection. However, incomplete documentation remains a persistent issue at RS Hapsah Bone District, affecting claim processes and care continuity. Aim. This study aimed to explore the factors influencing doctors' performance in completing medical records at Hapsah Bone District Hospital using a phenomenological approach. Methods. A qualitative phenomenological study was conducted through in-depth interviews with doctors, department heads, and medical records officers, complemented by direct observation. The data were analyzed thematically using NVivo software. Results. Five primary factors emerged: motivation, leadership approach, cultural dynamics, commitment levels, and regulatory frameworks. Barriers included insufficient internal drive, passive management, clinical prioritization over documentation, minimal organizational dedication, and inadequate policy enforcement. Observational data confirmed delayed recordkeeping and missing audit processes. Results correspond with established theoretical frameworks including Herzberg's Motivation, McGregor's Theory X, Lewin's Leadership models, and Organizational Behavior concepts. Effective solutions require comprehensive strategies addressing motivational improvement, leadership strengthening, cultural transformation, and stringent policy application. Conclusion. Improving doctors' performance in medical documentation demands comprehensive efforts across individual, managerial, and organizational domains. Future research should focus on designing and testing effective intervention models.
