Abstract (Abstrak)
Latar belakang. Mastitis pada sapi perah menyebabkan penurunan produksi dan kualitas susu serta berpotensi menimbulkan resistensi antibiotik akibat penggunaan obat yang tidak rasional. Tujuan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi bakteri penyebab mastitis subklinis dan mengetahui profil antibiogramnya pada sapi perah di Kecamatan Cendana, Kabupaten Enrekang. Metode. Penelitian deskriptif kuantitatif dilakukan pada 73 ekor sapi perah laktasi. Sebanyak 289 sampel susu diuji menggunakan California Mastitis Test (CMT). Sampel positif dua (++) dari pemeriksaan CMT dilanjutkan dengan identifikasi bakteri melalui MALDI-TOF MS dan diuji resistensinya terhadap antibiotik menggunakan sistem VITEK® 2 Compact. Hasil. Sebanyak 30 isolat bakteri terdeteksi dari sapi yang mengalami mastitis subklinis. Bakteri dominan adalah Streptococcus agalactiae, Streptococcus uberis, dan Staphylococcus aureus. Sebagian besar isolat masih sensitif terhadap antibiotik β-laktam dan fluorokuinolon, namun ditemukan resistensi terhadap tetracycline serta beberapa antibiotik lain. Kesimpulan. Mastitis subklinis di Kecamatan Cendana didominasi bakteri Gram positif dengan pola resistensi tertentu, sehingga pemilihan antibiotik perlu didasarkan pada uji kepekaan

Objective. This study aimed to identify the bacteria causing subclinical mastitis and determine their antibiotic profile in dairy cows in Cendana District, Enrekang Regency. Method. A quantitative descriptive study was conducted on 73 lactating dairy cows. A total of 289 milk samples were tested using the California Mastitis Test (CMT). Positive samples (++) indicated by CMT analysis were identified by MALDI-TOF MS and tested for antibiotic resistance using the VITEK® 2 Compact system. Results. A total of 30 bacterial isolates were detected from cows with subclinical mastitis. The dominant bacteria were Streptococcus agalactiae, Streptococcus uberis, and Staphylococcus aureus. Most isolates remained sensitive to β-lactam antibiotics and fluoroquinolones, but resistance to tetracycline and several other antibiotics were found. Conclusion. Subclinical mastitis in Cendana District is dominated by Gram-positive bacteria with specific resistance patterns, so antibiotic selection needs to be based on susceptibility testing |
