Abstract (Abstrak)

LUSIANA. The Effect of Work–Life Balance and Self-Efficacy on Employee Performance through Organisational Citizenship Behaviour at Bank BTN Syariah Makassar Branch (Supervised by Musran Munizu). Employee performance improvement is not always directly determined by personal resources but is often mediated by voluntary work behavior’s that support organizational effectiveness. This study aims to analyze the effect of work–life balance and self-efficacy on employee performance with organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) as a mediating variable at Bank BTN Syariah Makassar Branch. A quantitative approach with a survey design was employed. Data were collected from employees of Bank BTN Syariah Makassar Branch and analyzed using Path Analysis to examine the structural relationships among variables. The findings indicate that work–life balance and self-efficacy have a positive effect on organisational citizenship behaviour, while organisational citizenship behaviour has a positive effect on employee performance. In contrast, work–life balance and self-efficacy do not show a direct effect on employee performance. Organisational citizenship behaviour serves as the primary mediating mechanism that bridges the effects of work–life balance and self-efficacy on employee performance, indicating that performance improvement is more effectively achieved through strengthening extra-role behaviours rather than through personal resources alone.
