Analisis Faktor Paparan Asap Rokok, Jenis dan Lama Pemakaian Kontrasepsi Berhubungan dengan Kanker Serviks di Rumah Sakit Bhayangkara Makassar = Analysis of the Factors of Cigarette Smoke Exposure, Contraceptive Type, and Duration of Use Associated with Cervical Cancer at Bhayangkara Hospital Makassar

Kanker serviks merupakan salah satu jenis kanker yang umum terjadi pada wanita, dengan faktor risiko utama adalah infeksi Human Papillomavirus (HPV). Namun, faktor lain seperti paparan asap rokok, jenis kontrasepsi, dan lama pemakaian kontrasepsi juga berperan dalam meningkatkan risiko kanker serviks. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara paparan asap rokok, jenis dan lama pemakaian kontrasepsi dengan kejadian kanker serviks di Rumah Sakit Bhayangkara Makassar. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain cross-sectional dengan sampel wanita yang didiagnosis kanker serviks di Rumah Sakit Bhayangkara Makassar. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan rekam medis, serta dianalisis dengan uji chi-square untuk menguji hubungan antar variabel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa paparan asap rokok dan penggunaan kontrasepsi hormonal, terutama pil kontrasepsi, berhubungan signifikan dengan kanker serviks. Selain itu, lama pemakaian kontrasepsi hormonal lebih dari lima tahun juga meningkatkan risiko kanker serviks. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa paparan asap rokok, jenis kontrasepsi hormonal, dan lama pemakaian kontrasepsi berhubungan dengan kejadian kanker serviks. Oleh karena itu, pencegahan kanker serviks sebaiknya melibatkan pengendalian faktor risiko ini melalui kebijakan yang tepat dan kesadaran masyarakat. Cervical cancer is one of the most common types of cancer in women, with the primary risk factor being infection with the Human Papillomavirus (HPV). However, other factors such as exposure to tobacco smoke, type of contraception, and duration of contraceptive use also contribute to increasing the risk of cervical cancer. This study aims to analyze the relationship between exposure to tobacco smoke, types, and duration of contraceptive use with the incidence of cervical cancer at Bhayangkara Hospital Makassar. This research employs a cross-sectional design with a sample of women diagnosed with cervical cancer at Bhayangkara Hospital Makassar. Data were collected through interviews and medical records, and analyzed using chi-square tests to examine the relationships between variables. The results showed that exposure to tobacco smoke and the use of hormonal contraception, particularly oral contraceptives, were significantly associated with cervical cancer. Furthermore, the duration of hormonal contraceptive use for more than five years also increased the risk of cervical cancer. The study concludes that exposure to tobacco smoke, the type of hormonal contraception, and the duration of contraceptive use are all associated with the occurrence of cervical cancer. Therefore, cervical cancer prevention should involve controlling these risk factors through appropriate policies and raising public awareness.
