Abstract (Abstrak)

Background. Technological developments have significantly influenced the field of education, including the learning of Arabic, which is often perceived by students as difficult and monotonous. The use of innovative and interactive learning media offers a potential solution to overcome the low learning motivation among students in Arabic language subjects. Aim. This study aims to examine the effect of integrating Canva and Kahoot! platforms as interactive learning media on enhancing the Arabic learning interest of Year IX A students at MTs Nurul Aziz DDI Barobbo. Method. A quantitative research method was employed using an experimental design with pre-test and post-test procedures. The study involved 16 students who participated in a series of learning sessions over six meetings. Arabic vocabulary learning materials were developed through Canva, while assessment of student performance was conducted via the Kahoot! application. Results. Data were analysed using the Paired Sample T-Test, which produced a significance value of 0.001 (< 0.05), indicating that the null hypothesis (H₀) is rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H₁) is accepted. These results demonstrate a statistically significant effect of using Canva and Kahoot! as interactive media in increasing students’ motivation to learn Arabic. Therefore, the integration of these platforms is proven effective as an innovative and engaging approach to Arabic language learning, particularly in alignment with the characteristics of today’s digital-native generation.
