Abstract (Abstrak)

ABSTRACT Muhammad Khudri Arrofi. 2020. E061201106. "The Implementation of IAFCP Between Indonesia and Australia in Addressing Climate Change" Supervised by Supervisor I Drs. MA H.Darwis, MA , Ph.D and Supervisor II Aswin Baharuddin, S.IP, MA. Department of International Relations, Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Hasanuddin University. This research analyzes the implementation of the Indonesia-Australia Forest Carbon Partnership (IAFCP) as a bilateral environmental initiative addressing climate change. The study examines the objectives, strategies, and outcomes of the partnership, with a focus on its main pilot project, the Kalimantan Forests and Climate Partnership (KFCP). Using a qualitative-descriptive method, the research highlights the role of international cooperation, environmental diplomacy, and the integration of local communities in climate mitigation efforts. The findings reveal that while IAFCP made significant contributions in terms of capacity building, forest monitoring, and emission reduction strategies, it also faced critical challenges such as inconsistent funding, governance issues, and misalignment of priorities between the two countries. The study concludes that stronger institutional coordination, sustained political will, and inclusive participation are key to improving the effectiveness of future bilateral climate initiatives. Keywords: IAFCP; climate change; international cooperation ABSTRAK Muhammad Khudri Arrofi. 2020. E061201106.
