Abstract (Abstrak)
Background : Incident injury urethra in blunt pelvic trauma is thought to reached 1.54-10%. This incidence associated with height incident dysfunction erection due to neurogenic, vasculogenic and direct trauma to the part crural penis or tunica albuginea, resulting in intracorporal fibrosis or venous leak. Pelvic trauma patients only without injury urethra, is factor risk dysfunction erection, with risk 21%. Objective: To further identify risk factors for erectile dysfunction in patients with urethral stricture due to blunt pelvic trauma. Research Methods: This study is an analytical observational study with a retrospective cohort design using data from the last 5 years. The study was conducted at Wahidin Hospital in February - December 2024. The analysis used the fisher exact test. Results: There were 41 patients with the majority aged <33 years, namely 26 patients (63.4%), the most common occupational categories were self-employed (12 patients, 29.3%) and students (13 patients, 31.7%). The most common body mass index (BMI) was in the normal category (13 patients, 31.7%) and obesity (12 patients, 29.3%). The most common diagnosis was pars bulbosa urethral stricture (19 patients, 46.3%), followed by pars membranacea (15 patients, 36.6%), pars prostatica (5 patients, 12.2%), and pars pendylosa (2 patients, 4.9%), with the most common stricture length being 1 cm (18 patients, 43.9%). There was a significant relationship between BMI (p value 0.010), degree of trauma (p value 0.004) and stricture length (p value 0.005) as risk factors for erectile dysfunction. However, this does not apply to age (p value 0.884) and management (p value 0.574). Conclusion: BMI, stricture length and stricture degree are risk factors for erectile dysfunction, but not age and treatment.
