Penerapan Media Index Card Match Dalam Meningkatkan Minat Pembelajaran Bahasa Arab Di SDIT Muslim Cendikia Makassar = The Implementation of Index Card Match Media to Enhance Students’ Interest in Learning Arabic at SDIT Muslim Cendekia Makassar

ABSTRACT This study aims to describe the implementation of the Index Card Match method in enhancing students’ interest in learning Arabic at SDIT Muslim Cendikia Makassar. This research employs a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach, conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were 28 students from SDIT Muslim Cendikia Makassar. The data were collected through observation, documentation, as well as pre-test and post-test. The findings indicate a significant improvement in students’ interest in learning Arabic following the application of the Index Card Match method. This is supported by the results of statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test, which yielded a significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. These results demonstrate that the Index Card Match method has a statistically significant effect on increasing students’ interest in learning. Moreover, the implementation of this method fostered an active and enjoyable learning atmosphere, thereby encouraging student engagement in the learning process. In conclusion, the Index Card Match method can be considered an effective alternative instructional strategy for improving students’ interest in learning Arabic at the elementary school level. It is expected that this study will serve as a reference for educators in selecting instructional methods that align with students’ characteristics and needs, and as a basis for future research in the field of Arabic language education.
