Abstract (Abstrak)
ABSTRACT Andi Egissa Aulia AS. Empowerment of Forest Farmers Groups Through Conservation Partnerships in Teromu Village, Mangkutana District, East Luwu Regency (supervised by Supratman, and Makarennu) The sustainability of conservation areas needs to be maintained because it has a function as a life support system. Damage to conservation areas is usually caused by communities around conservation areas because in general, people live directly adjacent to conservation areas and carry out activities directly adjacent to conservation areas, so these activities can threaten conservation areas. This research aims to analyze the driving and inhibiting factors for empowering Forest Farmers Groups through Conservation Partnerships and formulate empowerment strategies. Data analysis uses 2 (two) analyses, namely Hierarchy Process Analysis (AHP) to analyze the driving and inhibiting factors of empowerment through conservation partnerships and SWOT analysis to analyze empowerment strategies. The driving and inhibiting factors have 23 (twenty-three) indicators. The most prioritized driving factor of KTH empowerment is the existence of productive economic business assistance while the most influential inhibiting factor of KTH empowerment is the lack of forestry extension workers. Empowerment strategies that have been combined produce 16 (sixteen) strategies, namely establishing good communication and coordination with partners (BBKSDA South Sulawesi through conservation partnerships, establishing communication with local governments so that the business assistance provided is right on target, holding technical guidance activities on honey cultivation techniques and attractive packaging procedures, conducting business assistance management assistance activities by providing ideas / ideas that are suitable and appropriate with the assistance (funds) provided, conducting group formation openly in the village hall / office together with BBKSDA South Sulawesi as partners / cooperation parties from KTH, facilitating group formation in accordance with procedures and technical guidelines, facilitating meetings in group formation, conducting socialization related to the main tasks and functions of the organization's management, conducting regular mentoring by involving related partners / relations, making direct visits to the target location of the buffer village, conducting training in handicraft making, attractive product packaging, conducting anjangsana to the KTH place to ensure that the group formed comes from people living in the KK buffer village, providing assistance using cellular networks, holding regular meetings, transparency, and accountability, and facilitating marketing through social media / marketplace.
