Abstract (Abstrak)

The development of the Islamic finance industry in Indonesia shows a positive trend, particularly following the 2021 merger of three state-owned Islamic banks into Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI). Challenges in Human Resource Management (HRM), especially regarding employee turnover, have become a key focus. This study aims to analyze the influence of Work-Life Balance and transformational leadership on the turnover intention of Generation Y employees at BSI, with employee engagement as a mediating variable. The analytical method employed is Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using Partial Least Square (PLS) techniques. The results indicate that Work-Life Balance and transformational leadership significantly and negatively affect turnover intention, both directly and through the mediation of employee engagement. This mediation strengthens the relationship, highlighting the importance of work-life balance, inspirational leadership, and employee engagement in reducing turnover, particularly among Generation Y. Integrated HRM strategies are essential for ensuring organizational sustainability.
