INSIDENSI POSTOPERATIVE NAUSEA AND VOMITING (PONV) PADA PASIEN LAPARATOMI DIGESTIF DENGAN ANESTESI UMUM DI RSUP DR. WAHIDIN SUDIROHUSODO MAKASSAR TAHUN 2023

Latar Belakang : Postoperative Nausea and Vomiting (PONV) adalah kondisi mual dan muntah yang terjadi dalam 24-48 jam setelah operasi. PONV diperkirakan memengaruhi sekitar 30% pasien pasca operasi, dengan angka kejadian mencapai 80% pada kelompok berisiko tinggi. Efek samping ini sering muncul setelah anestesi umum dan pembedahan, terutama pada prosedur invasif seperti laparatomi bedah digestif, serta berdampak signifikan pada pemulihan pasien dan biaya perawatan. Tujuan: menganalisis seberapa banyak Insidensi mual muntah terhadap anestesi umum pada bedah digestif jenis operasi laparatomu di RSUP Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Kota Makassar Tahun 2023. Metode: Penelitian ini akan menggunakan desain studi observasional deskriptif dengan desain penelitian cross pada pasien yang menjalani operasi laparatomi bedah digestif dengan anestesi umum. Data yang telah dikumpulkan dari catatan rekam medik akan diolah dengan menggunakan SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solutions) .Hasil: Insidensi PONV pada pasien pascabedah laparatomi digestif dengan anestesi umum adalah sebesar 30,2%. Berdasarkan faktor risiko, PONV lebih banyak terjadi pada pasien perempuan (22,6%), rentang usia >41 tahun (18,8%), pasien dengan IMT normal (17%), pasien yang tidak merokok (30%), dan pasien dengan riwayat motion sickness (22,6%).Kesimpulan :Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa insidensi Postoperative Nausea and Vomiting (PONV) pada pasien pasca bedah laparatomi digestif dengan anestesi umum di RSUP Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo tahun 2023 adalah 30,2%. Faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan kejadian PONV meliputi jenis kelamin perempuan, usia >41 tahun, IMT normal, pasien dengan riwayat tidak merokok, dan riwayat motion sickness.

Background: Postoperative Nausea and Vomiting (PONV) is a condition characterized by nausea and vomiting that occurs within 24-48 hours after surgery. PONV is estimated to affect about 30% of postoperative patients, with an incidence rate reaching 80% in high-risk groups. This side effect often arises after general anesthesia and surgery, particularly in invasive procedures such as digestive laparotomy, significantly impacting patient recovery and healthcare costs.Objective: To analyze the incidence of nausea and vomiting related to general anesthesia in digestive surgery, specifically laparotomy, at RSUP Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo in Makassar in 2023.Method: This study will utilize a descriptive observational study design with a cross-sectional approach on patients undergoing digestive laparotomy surgery with general anesthesia. Data collected from medical records will be processed using SPSS (Statistical Product and Service Solutions).Results: The incidence of PONV in postoperative patients undergoing digestive laparotomy with general anesthesia is 30.2%. Based on risk factors, PONV occurs more frequently in female patients (22.6%), those aged over 41 years (18.8%), patients with normal BMI (17%), non-smokers (30%), and patients with a history of motion sickness (22.6%).Conclusion: This study indicates that the incidence of Postoperative Nausea and Vomiting (PONV) in patients after digestive laparotomy surgery with general anesthesia at RSUP Dr. Wahidin Sudirohusodo in 2023 is 30.2%. Factors associated with the occurrence of PONV include being female, age over 41 years, normal BMI, non-smoking status, and a history of motion sickness.
