One of the sugar factories located in Bone Regency, South Sulawesi is the Camming Sugar Factory which is managed by PT Perkebunan Nusantara XIV (PERSERO). A company engaged in the sugar industry whose activities are production and sales. Sugarcane Plantation is an agricultural sub-sector that uses quite a lot of labor in the field of logging and planting sugar cane. The purpose of this study is to analyze the background, work system and remuneration of female farm workers who choose to work on the Camming Sugar Factory plantation land. Descriptive research method with a qualitative approach. The technique of determining the informants is purposive sampling technique. The results of this study are: The background of female farm workers working as laborers is influenced by social factors, namely low levels of education, being invited by neighbors or families who are farm laborers. While the economic factor,namely,to help meet the cost of living. Included in the daily work system are fertilizing, watering ,embroidering, weeding/grass, and cleaning the stems of sugarcane plants and the salary offered is IDR 30,000,00/day. While the wholesale work system is carried out for types of work such as logging and klentek. With 1 ton/day it can be sold for IDR 65.000,00. What makes the difference between male and female farm workers is that female farm workers are unable to load their harvested sugar cane on their own to transport cars. So, they will hire labor from male workers or transport drivers. Where, they get a discount of around IDR15,000,00.
