Abstract (Abstrak)
The aim of the study was to analyze the effect of leadership styles consist of voluntary reward provided by employer, laissez fair, charismatic and inspirational on the employess performance and the most dominant style affecting the working achievement of employees at PT Jamsostek (Persero) Makassar Branch. The number of population was 35 people and the number of samples was 35 people selected by exhausetive sampling. The data of the study were primary and secondary data. The data were collected through observation, interview, questionnaire and documentation and analyzed by using descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression. The result of the study indicate that transactional (voluntary reward provided by employer and laissez faire) and transformational (charismatic and inspirational) leadership styles have a significant influence on the employess working achievment. Inspirational leadership style is the most dominat variable affecting the working achievment of employees at PT Jamsostek Makassar Branch (calculated value of t= 4,939). The extent contribution of transactional and transformational leadership styles on the employees working achievement is 50,01 % and the rest 49,99% is influenced by other variables not studied.
