Pengaruh Japan's Transformational National Security Strategy 2022 Terhadap Keamanan Regional Asia Timur = THE INFLUENCE OF JAPAN’S TRANSFORMATIONAL NATIONAL SECURITY STRATEGY 2022 ON EAST ASIAN REGIONAL SECURITY

This research aims to explain (1) the Japan’s Transformation National Security Strategy 2022 policy as a form of Japanese defense and security policy which includes the National Security Strategy, National Defense Security, and the Defense Development Program in the East Asia region. (2) This policy actually gave rise to various responses from the target countries. (3) China, North Korea and Russia increased their militaries in response and rejection of Japan's assertive actions in the East Asia and Indo-Pacific regions. The type of research used in preparing this thesis is qualitative. Meanwhile, data collection techniques were obtained through library research by reviewing a number of books, journals, official documents and various scientific articles that accurately relate to the problem under study.
The results of this research show that Japan's Transformation National Security Strategy 2022 policy as a form of Japan's defense and security policy in responding to tensions and security instability in the region triggers various responses from target countries. (1) China responds by increasing the PLA and military modernization in the disputed Islands and Taiwan Strait. (2) North Korea hints at military attacks in the form of nuclear and missiles if it threatens its fundamental policies. (3) Russia carries out provocative actions based on joint military exercises and military bases on the Kuril Islands are in dispute with Japan.
