GAMBARAN STATUS GIZI PADA BALITA (0-59 BULAN) BERDASARKAN ANTROPOMETRI DI KELURAHAN LAKKANG KECAMATAN TALLO KOTA MAKASSAR PERIODE SEPTEMBER 2018

Backgrounds : Poor nutrition or malnutrition in children under five (0-59 months) is
a health problem with a high prevalence in the world, including Indonesia. Riskesdas
2013 showed that the number of children under five was malnourished and less than
19.6%. Tallo Subdistrict, one of the sub-districts in Makassar City with high nutritional
problems which has malnutritions is 303 children and poor nutrition is 792 children.
Children under fives nutrition problems not only cause physical growth disorders, but
also affect intelligence and productivity as adults.
Method: This study is a descriptive observational study using primary data taken
through direct measurements of the research subjects. The sampling technique used is
total sampling. Data is recorded and processed with Microsoft Excel 2013.
Results: From 49 children under-five respondents in Lakkang Sub-District, Tallo
District, in Makassar city there were 20 boys (40.81%) and 29 girls (59.19%). The
most age group is 25-36 months, 13 children. Nutritional status obtained was 1 child
is overweight (2%), 38 normal nutrition children (77.8%), 7 poor nutrition children
(14.2%), and 3 malnourished children (6%).
Conclusion: The nutritional status assessmentin the area quite well with 38 children
of normal nutrition (77.8%). Poor nutrition and malnutrition are also quite high is
14.2% and 6%, and most are in the age group above 12 months
