Abstract (Abstrak)

Increasing transportation to authorize life also increases the quality of
life for an individual and society in general. However, with the increase in the
number of vehicles, the possibility of traffic accidents also increases. every year
more than 1.25 million people die from traffic accidents and around 20 to 50 million
people suffer non-fatal injuries, with many causing disability as a result of their
trauma. Most trauma caused by accidents includes orthopedic trauma. Research
Methods: The research used an observational study with a retrospective descriptive
approach. Observation on the medical record status of traffic accident patients. The
study was conducted on 96 patients who met the inclusion criteria at Dr. Wahidin
Sudirohusodo Period july – december 2017. Research Result: This study was
conducted on a sample of 96 cases. Based on the highest age, there were 17-25 age
groups of 20 people, based on the highest sex were 66 people, based on the highest
number of jobs were 22 entrepreneurs, based on the type of vehicle most were 65
people, based on the most accident mechanism there are 20 people in front-front
accident, based on the highest location of trauma, the lower limbs are 40 people, the
right side is 78 people, and 55 people have multiple trauma, based on the type of
trauma there are 94 people with fracture, based on the highest tratment there were 49
people with ORIF. Summary: Most traffic accidents in men aged 17-25 years work
as entrepreneurs using motorcycle with front-front mechanisms, with fracture trauma
to the right lower limb and multiple trauma handled by surgery, ORIF.
