Abstract (Abstrak)

The hydrothermal method synthesized analcime and cancrinite from plagioclase feldspar as the primary aluminosilicate source. These products are formed in the reaction process of the mineral K-feldspar with various concentrations of NaOH solution. Experimental parameters such as the efect of NaOH concentration and reaction mechanism are studied. The XRD results show an analcime and cancrinite with a cubic and hexagonal structure at the Si/Al mole ratio=2.6 and 1.32. Mean while, FTIR reported a sharp band in the 1635 cm−1 region with a gradually decreased intensity and NaOH concentration. The appearance of triplet bands in the 682–565 cm−1 region at F2 and F3 clarifes the characteristics of the cancrinite structure. The SEM results confrmed the morphology of the analcime and cancrinite in the form of a trapezium with a crystal size of 20.71 µm and the rod shape with crystal sizes of 9.30 and 9.69 nm, respectively. This experiment proves that Mesawa pla gioclase feldspar mineral contains secondary building units of types 4 and 6, which can be used as heterogeneous catalysts and selective adsorbents for heavy metals.
