Abstract (Abstrak)

Gillian E.B. Seipalla . Diagnostic Tests for Alpha Feto Protein, Vitamin K, Protein Induced Vitamin K in Hepatocellular Carcinoma (supervised by Mutmainnah , Tenri Esa )
Hepatocelullar carcinoma (HCC) is the most common primary liver malignancy and one of the most commons tumors worldwide derived from hepatocytes. It is the fourth of all kind of cancers, also the ordinary the fourth causes of death due by cancer in the world. Tumor markers such as AFP,Vitamin K and PIVKA II are the substances were production and proliferation of cancer cell that were actually indicate the presence and the development of cancer cell.
The aim of this study was to determine the sensitivity and specificity of AFP, Vitamin K,PIVKA II in hepatocellular carcinoma . Research was done by cross sectional design using samples of patients with HCC clinical diagnosis. The number of samples in this study total 76 samples consisted of 56 samples HCC and 20 samples of control . PIVKA II and Vitamin K were examined using the ELISA method . Data were analyzed by statistical with the calculation of statistics descriptive , determination of the value of cutt off using analytical curve Receiver Operating Characteristics.
The results of the research obtained that the sensitivity and specificity of AFP with cuttof 7,02 ng / ml is 73.2% and 100%, the positive predictive value 100% and the negative predictive value 57.1% .Sensitivity and spesificity PIVKA II with cutoff 23,30 mAU / mI is 80.4% and 70% with a positive predictive value of 88.2%, a negative predictive value of 56.0% . The sensitivity and specificity of Vitamin K with a cutoff of 687.0 ng / ml is 91.1% and 80%, a positive predictive value of 92.7%, a negative predictive value of 76.2.The sensitivity and specificity of the combination of AFP, Vitamin K and PIVKA II were 60.7%, 100%, positive predictive value was 100%, negative predictive value was 47.6%.
