Abstract (Abstrak)

The use of fossil fuels as an energy source has an impact on increasing carbon gas and causing global warming. Electric-Hybrid power plant (solar cells and diesel generators) is an alternative solution to the negative impact of conventional power systems on ships in Indonesia. The research aim is to use two power plants with different energy sources. In this research, optimal planning and management of electric-hybrid power systems will be studied technically and economically using HOMER Software. The results of this study indicate that the planning of the electric-hybrid power plant is technically feasible; the solar panels are able to supply electricity needs of 4,111 kWh/year or 35% and found that economically feasible because it is able to save fuel by 2,938 liters/year or 32% per year with a Break Even Point that occurred in the 8th year and the Net Present Value of 878,124,878.29 IDR
