Abstract (Abstrak)
Inequality in education quality still occurs in several regions in Indonesia, one of which occurs in Central Lampung district where there is still a clear gap in the quality of education. One effort to improve and evenly distribute the quality of education in Indonesia is by applying the zoning system to the process of accepting new students. The provisions of the zoning system are contained in Permendikbud No. 20 of 2019. Based on this provision, the zoning system provides an 80% opportunity for prospective students in the school zone, the remaining 15% is taken based on grades and 5% for special paths such as following the duties of parents as state officials . This study uses a qualitative approach conducted at SMAN in Makassar, while the retrieval of data uses interviews, documents and observations. The purpose of this research is to find out the method that is best used in the classification of zoning for SMA Negeri in Makassar. The results of this study indicate that the use of the voronoi method in classifying school zoning is better than using the buffer method.
